John Shepard
John was raised in a military family in Panama City, Florida, and for the past 13 years, he has made San Bernardino County his home, where he lives with his wife and two children. With a master’s degree in both Business Administration and Healthcare Administration, John has built a career on improving the quality and safety in the healthcare industry. He has worked with organizations like The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Stanford Healthcare, focusing on data consulting, analytics, financial projections, and quality improvement.
Currently, as the CEO of Shepard Health, John partners with not-for-profit organizations to enhance care for individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders. His journey with CASA began in 2019 when he discovered the organization’s mission and values. Having seen the effects of the foster care system firsthand through his grandmother and close family members, John found that working with CASA was a meaningful way to give back and make a lasting impact on the youth in his community.
